Daddy’s back
When
Laura opened the door, she couldn’t believe her eyes. “Daddy, what the hell are
you doing here? You are dead, for God shake!”, she screamed.
The
old man, dressed with an old Argentinean prison uniform, tried to talk although
no words came out of his throat. Laura kept on asking questions, waving her
arms, going crazy… Then, the blurry shape of his father started to fade away
until it disappeared right where his favorite rocking chair was placed.
Laura
shook her head and thought she had been having so much work lately: “I must
start having more hours of sleep or I will go nuts…”
The
next morning, she woke up really early —as usual— and went right straight to
the kitchen to switch on the coffee maker when some strange feeling forced her
to turn around. And there he was again, sat on the kitchen chair, looking at
her with a really peaceful look on his face.
Now
it was she who couldn’t say a word and the only thing that it was heard was:
“I’m
here to tell you why I ended up in jail, and I won’t leave until you listen to
me.”
